St. Francis Wood is a family-friendly area with a much more low-key vibe than the rest of San Francisco. As of 2013, the neighborhood had a population of 1,228, though this has likely grown in the past few years. There are plenty of beautiful parks to visit, and the weather is highly enjoyed. 

St. Francis Wood has consistently been voted one of the neighborhoods with the most satisfied residents. Families opt to live here for the safety and elegant environment, and many retirees also enjoy the laid-back living and cleanliness of the area. Contrary to other neighborhoods, most residents own their homes as opposed to renting. 

St. Francis Wood is not known for its shopping, nightlife, or dining. Instead, it is known for its friendly yet private neighbors, pristine arrangement of well-designed homes, and beautiful architecture. Public schools are highly rated, as are outdoor activities and the scenery.
